The Red Thread Movement and a group of students at Abilene Christian University have chosen to combine their passion for fashion with their passion to help women and girls most at risk of being enslaved through sex trafficking. Their goal is to raise awareness and help end modern day slavery.
Deeply moved by the impact Eternal Threads is having on women’s lives, these students will use their annual fashion show to benefit the work of The Red Thread Movement, a student initiative in partnership with Eternal Threads.
The “In The RED” fashion show will be held on April 30 in the Windsor Hotel Ballroom at 401 Pine Street in downtown Abilene. The models will feature clothing from Dillard’s at the Mall of Abilene and handmade accessories from Eternal Threads. The show will be raising awareness while exhibiting trendy fashion ideas for guests.
The doors will open at 7:30 p.m. to allow plenty of time for you to check out the booths that local sponsors, student organizations and Eternal Threads will have set up before the start of the show at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and a Red Thread bracelet will be included in the price of admission. You can reserve your tickets through the fashion show’s website, firstname.lastname@example.org, purchase them at ACU’s McGlothlin Campus Center from 11 – 1 p.m., April 25-29, or pick them up at the door. We look forward to seeing you there.
Are you in the RED?
